Life can get hard sometimes while you keep waiting for it to notch itself down, it keeps taking a toll on you. A person wanders from one place to another in the search of the stability and peace. As it is most essential to live a happy and prosperous life. Just like the young lady in this artwork who is waiting for her lover to come back to her one day soon. Meanwhile, the poetic dawn rises everyday and with a sublime dusk it resides again in the night.
She comes at her balcony every morning to bask in the rising sun and to renew her hope for the day. It was the first sunday of the early summer and the day of their engagement. However, the letter came bearing the information of his rejoining as his leave was cut short due to the ongoing international tensions. He was suppose to report back at the earliest. She beseeched with him to stay for another day or two. But, was unsuccessful in her attempts of stopping him. All the while she knew he is going for the war one day soon and kept on dreading for his departure.
She pleaded to him to not to go and leave her behind. But, the love for one’s mother country cannot be superseded by anything. And now it has been so long that he has left that even the days seem like months. The months seem like years and it feels like the time has stopped itself in the fear of hurting her. The awaiting of a beloved is only blessed upon some of the fortunate ones.
