Shaheed Udham Singh is also known as Shaheed-i-Azam. He was revolutionary and a great visionary. So, the man fought for the freedom of India and worked in building the nation. The colors used in this artwork are very neutral in tone. Moreover, he not only inspired the youth of Punjab but also ignited the inspiration for the generations to come.
Additionally, Udham Singh was a revolutuonary known for killing Micheal O’Dwyer to avenge the attacks of Jallianwalla Bagh. Furthermore, Udham Singh was tried and executed for the murder. Whereas, on being questioned why he did so, he had an apt reply for the same- “I did it because I had a grudge against him. He deserved it. I don’t belong to society or anything else, I don’t mind dying. Only one dead? I thought I could get more.”
However, criticizing the British imperialism, he uttered- “I do not care about sentence of death. It means nothing at all. As, I do not care about dying or anything. And I am dying for a purpose.
